yesterday (wednesday) I had a kind of good day,,
related with the final project, the video we have is already fixed by Naomi,,
after I went to BSD Plasa for nothing on tuesday, finally we can finish it,,
we hope this video will be the best from us,,
because we made it with all of our efforts and our heart,,
its finally closing, very entertaining,,

and today I will collect the data from 2 groups and give it to the lecture,,

today is much brighter than yesterday...
Yes, it is right..
today is much brighter than yesterday..
I feel it here, I feel I woke up in the morning with a different spirit than yesterday..
maybe it because I had sleep enough all night long, so in the morning I can have my spirit back..
yesterday it was very awful, my spirit was down, so much things I think about and many things I have to do, plus a very low healthiness..
but now, I woke up and think clear about what I have to do today..
some problems have been solved, and related with the leadership project, we got a bright day also..
Dinda and Lia do the rerecording the video..
its okay if yesterday we make some mistakes, because by that mistakes we can know that we are a great person, because we can solve and fix all mistakes and problems ahead..
lets see what they bring to us..

on 12 of July, as the meeting's result, we went to the orphanage at Cibiru - Cikarang. the place was very far from our dormitory. and when we arrived on the area, we confused, because we were not sure whether the house that we seen is an orphanage or not. because it just like a small house with a colorfull paint. really far from my imagination before..
then we asked to the security, and another amazing thing happened, he didnt know if there is an orphanage around here.. (oh my god..!!!)
with all of our braveness and "unshyness" we knocked that door then someone came to greeting us. she looks very nice. a second fortunate, that was right..!!
then we talked about our mission with that lady, and fortunetaly she and her friend didn't mind to gave some information and permit us to record her activities in that orphanage..
so we already make a deal according to the project.. it should be recorded on wednesday, but don't know what kind of "taifun" attack us (again), in an evening at the same day, that lady called me and told me that she cant help us for this week because she has to do "blablablablablablabla"..
I was so desperate after put my phone down..

she made it and we went get them..!!
It was a disable school (SLB) in Bekasi, the location is in the middle of residence, the school is good, also with the environment..
we talked to the Vice Headmaster at that school about our project, and he was exited with us and he didn't mind to help us..
(thanks god)
then we intervied him, and record it..
after finished, he asked us to look around the school, visit one by one of the class..
we were so happy..
and we were so proud of them, with their disapabilities, they had a very strong spirit to be a better person..

and we succeeded today in lobbying Mr. Wisnu to push the submission time to the end of the day :D

This week's class was off either because the lecturer was invited (assumption, really) to be a speaker in Bandung.
Besides, it was rather doubtful that the class would be packed with students. Most of us were exhausted to come to class (if there was any) since we just back to dorm around midnight from the Barometer show on SCTV.
We were invited to be the audience and most of us who are taking the leadership class went along.
So nothing to report in terms of class activity, really.
Anyways,
still no proper group meeting from us. No new ideas or basically anything new. Worrying sign.

Its a kind of a "dont know" week
Quite frankly, we didn't do much this week
We were all quite busy with our midterms and had almost no time to gather and talk about our leadership project
We did come up with a new idea though
There was this talk about documenting the leader of a Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB.. have no idea what it is in English, School for the Extraordinary? err.. doesn't seem right)
or an orphanage or any institutions with distinctive characteristics
We thought it might be a challenge
To lead a particular group of pupils with disabilities surely far from easy
The leader can be anyone really.. the headmaster or headmistress, the teachers, and even better, the class leader
Hypothetically speaking,
if we did go with SLB and the class leader as our final project subjects,
one would think, "how does he or she does it?"
In one hand, that class leader shares the same condition with fellow students at that school
Being disabled (physically or mentally) but elected as class' leader
He or she has to lead the others and be exemplary
Like this isn't hard enough already, he or she also has the obligations to assist the teachers in terms of organizing the class, arranging activities, and many other
And that's exactly the challenge
But then again,
it was only a plan
We haven't talked this out thoroughly,
but we will very soon... *fingers crossed*

Midterm for Leadership is Today...

its a shocking morning...
alarm on my cellphones didn't work well (or my ears did ya,,,??? hehe)
ummmm today is the midterm for leadership..
thanks god its an open book test, but still, we have to study it first..
last night I was studying (not only for cheerdership yaaa,,! but for other subjects also)..
and nowis the time for leadership..

I dont know if I can face it (again) - Mariah Carey singing
its a hell to the noo,,!!!
hmmmm today is the most freaky day in this week,,!!
today, there was an election for the leader of Sun.Blog(and I dont really think if this "blog" needs kind of a leader yooo)
the election was freak, because we just write down on a piece of paper the name of our candidate,,
and I dont know why, I just think that Stara was the first who wrote my cheerdamnname(name) on that paper,,!!!! ("why did you do this to me stara,,?? how cruel,,? *crying)
and some others (lia, dinda, hilda) just follow what she did,, (eeewwww so cheersucks)
somehow, 4girls already choose me as the leader on this project,I cant do anything,If I could,I would (singing "fool again,westlife") hehe :p

Today, (Wednesday, June 9) we gathered our group members to decide who is going to be our group’s leader. Each of us voted and the winner is... ... ... Syahrul “MIKY” Kurniawan!!! *congratulations, Miky! We believe in you!*
Here are the reasons why Miky was elected:
Stara: Miky can motivate people well, he is diligent, he knows how to prioritise, and he’s got a broad networks.
Dinda: Miky has the initiative to do something before anybody else does, he’s got connection, and he does things well.
Lia: Miky is always available and attentive to others, he can persuade people and is a good leader.
Hilda: Miky is responsible, creative, and he can manage his time well.
Since there are 7 members within our group, 3 other members voted for Stara. And here are the reasons why:
Miky: Stara is a good girl and smart. She can manage everything, and can give her best for us.
Hu Ying: Stara is a good girl, responsible, smart, easy-going, good in oral and written communication. She is also helpful and kind.
Naomi: Stara is committed when she does something and she’s competent.
Therefore, Miky won by 4 votes to 3. And he is officially our group leader now. We will still help him in basically everything because it’s all about team work.

....Weeks 2 Progress of Sun.Blog
This week we talked about the role of each member of our group. We haven’t quite decided all the job descriptions for each member but basically we will help each other out in doing our final project of a video documentary on a leader. Each will have a say on who he or she wants to be video-documented and the reasons why. The good thing about having an odd (in this case, 7) number of members in a group is that we wouldn’t have an equal vote number and therefore it is easier to decide.
However, we still haven’t decided who is the right person to be chosen as our main “subject”. The previous list of leaders’ candidates has not been added or eliminated either. Hopefully in the next two weeks we’ll be able to narrow down our list to the Top 10. Once the Top 10 is settled, we will start to discuss the role of each member during this project and the specific job descriptions each member will hold.
This week’s assignment for each member is to decide on who will they pick as our group’s leader. It might seem like an easy task but it’s not. Its a cheerain (rain) outside my dorm, but I just made a new picture for Sun.Blog..
ummm,actually that is not the "new" picture, it better to called as the "first" picture,hahaha
ummm its a cheerficult (difficult) to make my self grab mouse and click on the "Adobe Photoshop CS3" program, whenever my mind want it, but my hand says no. the said "hey, check out your mail, and then your facebook account, uuuppps your twcittceee'(in Indonesian socilite tounge)" hehe
but I dont know why, this evening, under the rain, finally I can make it through the rain (singin Through The Rain, Mariah Carey) hehe

A Journey to a Leadership Documentary

Today, our group has made three progress in terms of our Leadership final project.
The very first break-through was the determining and establishing our group members, which consists of:
1. Stara Pedro / PR / 009200800023
2. Syahrul “Miky” Kurniawan / PR / 009200800024
3. Dinda Madhyantika / PR / 009200800009
4. Lia Manda Bathaly / PR / 009200800014
5. Naomi Situmorang / PR / 009200800021

The second one is setting the name of our blog, which is SUN, and therefore our blog is named SUN Blog. The determinant of choosing the name was how catchy it sounds, and we believe that SUN Blog is catchy enough :D
The word “SUN” itself is an abbreviation of “Student Union”. “Student”, surely because we are students, and “Union” because we are all united in the same Leadership group. At first, there were two other names to be considered as our blog’s name. The first was “Realistic” and the second one was “Go Blog”. Eventually, we chose the third option, which was “SUN” and well, that proves that third time’s a charm :D
Last progress of the week, but certainly not least, was selecting a number of candidates to be chosen as our subject for the Leadership documentary. So far, we have gathered around 18 options, they are:
1. The President of Chelsea Indonesia (CISC)
2. The Captain of Indonesia’s National Futsal Team
3. The President Director of Bank Danamon
4. The owner of D’Nanta Bistro
5. The Captain of Indonesia’s Cheerleading Club (ICC)

8. The Chief Editor of Sinar Harapan Newspaper
9. The Producer of “Jika Aku Menjadi” show of Trans TV
10. The Manager of Bank NISP

13. The administrator of an orphanage or a nursing home
14. The Mayor of Bekasi
15. The head chief of Cikarang’s Police
16. The pilot of Garuda Indonesia
17. The senior chief of flight attendant of Lion Air

The word “SUN” itself is an abbreviation of “Student Union”. “Student”, surely because we are students, and “Union” because we are all united in the same Leadership group. At first, there were two other names to be considered as our blog’s name. The first was “Realistic” and the second one was “Go Blog”. Eventually, we chose the third option, which was “SUN” and well, that proves that third time’s a charm :D
Last progress of the week, but certainly not least, was selecting a number of candidates to be chosen as our subject for the Leadership documentary. So far, we have gathered around 18 options, they are:

8. The Chief Editor of Sinar Harapan Newspaper
9. The Producer of “Jika Aku Menjadi” show of Trans TV
10. The Manager of Bank NISP
11. The Rector of President University
12. The developer of Lippo Cikarang
13. The administrator of an orphanage or a nursing home
14. The Mayor of Bekasi
15. The head chief of Cikarang’s Police
16. The pilot of Garuda Indonesia
17. The senior chief of flight attendant of Lion Air
18. The President of Lumbung Informasi Rakyat (LIRA)
So far, those are our progress for this week (May 20-27, 2010). These progresses are still changeable and will be lessened and added in time, and only if seen as necessary.
